Benjamin Jaffe and Drew Taubenfeld have been performing together for over 15 years and are often mistaken as brothers which they interpret as folk’s general lack of attention to detail. Along with their current gig as guitarists, vocalist and music director to Kacey Musgraves, the two have shared the stage and studio on piles of projects over the years from stints with Dwight Yoakam and Leon Bridges to scores and songs for feature films and TV shows, even reaching into baroque music with their marriage of chamber music and WWF style theatricality The Bachstreet Boyz. For this particular show at Studio 9 the two will be sharing music from their new records, a wide ranging collection of American Folk-influenced instrumental music from Taubenfeld entitled As Far As I can Tell and songs from Jaffe’s new album of lyrically driven songs entitled Songs For Agreement produced by Vulfpeck’s Theo Katzman. After several performances at Studio 9 over the years, Jaffe is excited to bring his friend and collaborator up for a night at this one-of-a-kind venue.
